Side Mirror: Releasing Handbrakes - The Opportunity We Often Overlook

Andy Follows Episode 204

Do you ever look back on things you did earlier in your career and cringe with embarrassment?

I have many examples that pop into my head from time to time. Fortunately, I’ve learned to be kind to myself and to forgive younger me for the jaw-dropping lack of experience and awareness I displayed on occasion. I’ve since reframed these excruciating memories as reassuring evidence of my ability to grow. I wouldn’t cringe about them if I hadn’t learned how wrong they were, would I?

In this episode, I reflect on a time earlier in my career when I lacked the knowledge and experience to fully support my team and how the lessons I learned contributed to the creation of the Fulfilling Performance Framework.
