Arron Oliver: From curious graduate to global automotive leader and entrepreneur.
In this episode of CAREER-VIEW MIRROR, we’re celebrating the career to date of Arron Oliver.
Arron is the founder of Even Financial, a finance broking business based in Melbourne, Australia. He supports business and personal clients with tailored finance solutions and brings a wealth of industry experience to the table, having spent over 20 years in automotive financial services. His career has taken him from Australia to China and Germany in various roles with BMW Financial Services, including market leadership and strategic head office assignments. Arron began his career at Ford Credit and has grown into a relationship-driven, values-led entrepreneur with a global perspective and deep sector knowledge.
In our conversation, we talk about Arron’s journey from a lively school life in Berwick to discovering the world of automotive finance almost by accident. We trace how a graduate position at Ford Credit opened the door to a rewarding international career, spanning local dealer-facing roles to senior strategy positions at BMW’s headquarters in Munich. He shares how opportunities often came through performance and relationships rather than applications, how he and his wife Alison navigated dual careers across continents, and what it was like to adapt to life and work in China.
We also explore his view on cultural humility, the HQ–market career cycle, and what it takes to build a successful, values-based business. Now running his own brokerage, Arron brings a grounded, human approach to helping clients make smart financial decisions.
